| "After
2-years of designing and building my dream home, I knew I wanted the bedroom to
be truly extravagant". |

 |
The original
architect's plans designed this space as two good sized bedrooms, but as there
were already enough bedrooms for the family and guests, the plans were altered
to create this vast master bedroom, complete with en-suite and dressing room.
This striking bedroom was designed
exclusively for the client to their specific requirements and is unlike any
other we have designed before. As you enter the room, a large oak cabinet sits
against the wall concealing a television and a small fridge.
The cream sofa divides the room and
creates a sitting area where you can relax, watch a little television and even
enjoy a Gin & Tonic before you retire for the evening. . |

Whilst at
the far end of the room, the bed is framed by the huge roman columns that sit
upon two large bedsides each with three solid oak drawers. Overhead is a broken
pediment finished with opulent lighting. Behind the bed is a soft upholstered
headboard using the same fabric as the curtains, which is flanked by fluted
pillars and topped with a broken pediment to mirror the one above.
The plaster columns have been hand
painted to create the stunning marble effect, while the cream cabinets have
been finished with a subtle patina, warm timber top and Antique brass reeded
knobs. |
