Design & Planning
Matthew James offers a truly personal service. Every
commission begins with a visit from myself, Mike Chadwick [owner], to discuss
your project and how to make the most efficient and aesthically pleasing use of
the space.
I will measure, take a note of
any period detailing and get a general feel for the room. But most of all, I
will listen, which is your chance to tell me exactly what you want.
Based on the discussion, my partner Anna
will then create scale drawings and elevations to show the suggested scheme,
together with an indication of costs. Presentation of the these takes places at
our showroom with Anna, where any amendments can be made if
necessary.
Once a design has been agreed,
you will be asked to sign a contract and leave an initial deposit in order to
secure an installation date and release a copy of the
plans/drawings.
Project
Management
Whatever the size of your
project we have a dedicated team of electricians, plasterers, builders and
decorators on hand should you need them.
We will coordinate all the work ensuring everything runs as
smoothly as possible and to your satisfaction from start to
finish.
Survey
Once you've approved your plans, I will visit your home
again to perform a more detailed appraisal of the area, to be sure everything
fits perfectly.
I will also advise on
preparing the room prior to the installation taking
place.
Manufacturing
At
Matthew James we continue the craft of English furniture making with each piece
being hand made by our small team of experienced, knowledgable and highly
professional craftsmen. We combine traditional skills with the highest quality
materials to build your furniture to your specific requirements in our own
workshop.
Installation
Understanding that we are working inside your home, we take
the utmost care during the installation to ensure that everything runs
smoothly, efficiently, tidily and with the minimum amount of fuss. I oversee
every installation and am often directly involved.
Customer Service
Both myself and Anna are on hand throughout the process to
answers any questions you may have about your project. |
